Brief

We will analyze the change of labor force by educational level, gender, job searching methods and occupational groups of Turkey between the years 2014 and 2020.

Datasets

We will use three main datasets that were published by TUIK. In case of any need we might use additional datasets.

1) Labour Force Status by Educational Level

This dataset includes the number of employed and unemployed people by their educational levels and gender. The data is between January 2014 and August 2020.

2) Unemployment by Job Search Methods

The dataset is grouped by gender and includes job search methods such as; newspaper adverts, direct applications to employer etc. The data is between January 2014 and August 2020.

3) Labour force status of higher education graduates by the last graduated field of education

It consists of the annual numbers of employed and unemployed people by field of education, such as; law, veterinary, engineering etc. The dataset consists of the statistics from 2014 to 2019.

Plan

  • Preparing data to make analysis
  • Using dplyr library to get a better understanding of data
  • Using ggplot2 library to create visuals and to see trends
  • Comparing metrics which might be related to each other and evaluating them
  • Deepening the analysis by adding additional data if necessary
  • Completing the analysis with meaningful insights
